AS Arco Transport
Arco Transport AS is a company providing
forwarding services. Forwarding means combining the needs
of customers and the possibilities of transportation companies,
i.e. finding the most appropriate way of transporting the
customer's goods, and arranging of freight transportation.
Arco Transport OÜ began operations
in January 1998 with 4 logistics. Arco Transport AS quickly
became recognised among the Estonian transportation clients
and carriers. As a result, within a year and a half Arco Transport
grew into one of the largest companies providing forwarding
services in Estonia. Arco Transport AS employs a total of
18 logistics. In order to ensure high quality service to our
customers we have divided the European transportation into
six separate departments, where each department includes at
least two logistics.
Arco Transport drives a total of 100 to 200 trucks all over
Europe per week. The parent company of Arco Transport AS owns
over 20 international trucks and over 26 trailers. As a result,
the logistics personnel of Arco Transport AS operate with
a considerably larger number of trucks. Thanks to that we
have nearly 120 subcontractors that own more than 250 trucks.
Our subcontractors are mainly Estonian companies, however,
we collaborate with Latvian and Lithuanian transport companies
as well.
The mission of Arco Transport AS is to continuously improve
the quality of our services, to be your reliable transportation
partner who can provide a variety of services from delivery
of goods from foreign countries to storing and distribution
of your goods. One of our priorities is the continuous self-improvement
of our employees, including their theoretical knowledge. Our
employees have obtained their knowledge from FIATA forwarders'
courses.
International transportation cannot be carried out without
reliable foreign partners. Cooperation with foreign partners
is mainly based on handling the customs formalities of goods.
In addition to cooperation partners in the Baltic States,
Arco Transport AS has cooperation partners in Germany, Italy,
Finland and Holland.
From our customers' point of view it is important to insure
the goods against possible accidents during transportation.
Arco Transport AS has insured the services with a forwarder's
liability insurance. In addition to the above insurance coverage
all of our subcontractors hold the CMR insurance. Arco Transport
AS also provides a single goods addition insurance, in cooperation
with various insurance companies operating in Estonia.
Arco Transport AS is the member of EEA (Eesti Ekspedeerijate
Assotsiatsioon - Association of Estonian Forwarders), which
enables us to issue FCR documents.
